Synopsis of " Remarks towards the NAACP National Convention” by simply Michelle Obama

In Michelle Obama's presentation " Feedback to the NAACP National Meeting, ” the lady laments that childhood weight problems is a serious issue in America today, when she was young children were always out playing and being effective, nowadays kids would rather stay inside and play video games then whatever it takes else. Seeing that most children are seldom most of the time and use hours upon hours watching television " every extra hour of TELEVISION SET they watch is linked to the consumption of the additional 167 calories. ” (423). Children aren't just becoming lazier, they're actually becoming more and more bad as time goes on developing " diabetes and cancer, heart disease, bronchial asthma. ” (420). In an effort to make an effort to help correct childhood overweight Obama launched the " Let's Move” campaign, which in turn even features commercials upon Disney Channel showing the Disney famous people outside playing some kind of work out. The 4 main points to the campaign are; The first one contains giving father and mother knowledge to provide their children healthy food choices not fast food. The second level states which the government is definitely attempting to exchange fatty foods in colleges with healthier options, however the children will certainly feel about it. The third part of the marketing campaign is just planning to show children that staying active happens to be fun, it will not just have to end up being challenging. The final point Obamas' campaign claims is that almost all families whatever their profits is, wealthy or battling, should have the cabability to get refreshing and healthy food choices without breaking the bank. Perception of Comics while Books for the children Essay 07.08.2019

Perception of Comics while Books for the children Essay

Maus was one of the first comic books I have ever read,  which is a good thing for me.  Coming into this class,  I assumed that comic books and graphic novels were basically just a bunch of superhero stories and maybe a few Scifi themed books (which isn't a bad thing).   The fact that Maus is a personal story about something very real made me extremely interested and it showed me that Spiderman isn't all comics has to offer.  It opened my eyes to all the other genres out there that I wasn't previously aware of.  For me, reading Maus was a very difficult thing to do.  I  openly condemn racism;  it's literally the one thing that can set me off within a nanosecond.  Race/ethnicity is a touchy subject for most people,  but the Holocaust seems like an issue many people avoid talking about.  It isn't easy to talk about the Holocaust without feeling emotionally drained about the thoughts of a mass torture and genocide of children,  men,  and women in unspeakable ways in order to please a madman.  Today,  many families,  descendants,  and survivors continue remembrance and the hope that such an event will never take place again.  Many have written biographies and have been interviewed about their experiences,  yet many were not prepared to have an entire graphic novel written.…...
